Artificial Intelligence: The End Of Humanity

With the advancement in technology, there is an increase in growth of the artificial intelligence. This technology is advancing so fast that many people are afraid that it will one day overtake the humans. Would this mean the end of the world for the human race? This is a question that is in the minds of many people. It is true that artificial intelligence is a significant threat to the human race. But can it overtake even those that have great minds to create it? I do not think that humanity would be erased by their technology that they have created. However, I do not write off the claims that great advancement in this technology is a significant threat. Only that I believe that God gave the human race a gift that is not comparable with that of other things; the gift of reasoning. All other things are programmed to think and reason but the human brain ideas naturally. It has got the power to reason beyond the artificial machines.

What Hawking Claims

He believes that developing technology will eventually overtake humanity. Such scenarios have been seen in fiction movies like Robocop and Terminator. He says that if artificial intelligence were developed to full potential, it could spell the end of humanity. The world should be afraid of the day when the artificial intelligence will have the power to redesign itself into greater machines that where man has left it at. This will mean that they can increase their rate. He believes that if the man was slow to some biological evolution and that there are some who could not make t compete favorably with others. He now asks the world to think of human beings competing with intelligence that can redesign itself to attain a better shape. This now sounds threatening.

Fears and threats

Some governments are also afraid that the artificial intelligence could come and end the human race. There have been issues of restriction or bans on further advancement of the artificial intelligence. Scientists can now make robots of up to a certain technology. They are allowed to a level where they can be controlled by the human race. There is though some fear of the aliens. If they exist, then they could make intelligence that will beat what is known today. This could mean that the world of technology as a whole is a threat to the human race.
